The Training Process
The training program at Stayyy eliminates bad habits while reinforcing good behaviors. We begin with drilling the basic commands every pup should know. Even if your puppy or adult dog knows the basics, we’ll work with them to ensure they listen every time.
We also focus on:
· Breaking bad habits
· Mental stimulation
We approach certain behaviors your dog should not be engaging in head-on. Some of the bad habits we address at Stayyy include:
· Jumping up on people
· Rushing in or out the door
· Excessive barking
· Leash pulling
· Stealing food from other animals
· Eating off the counter
· Charging at other animals
It’s extremely important for your dog to be properly socialized. We focus on proper socialization while training your pup. We also give them lots of opportunities to meet other dogs and learn pack behavior.
The Stayyy Day Camp facility is the perfect place for your dog to learn the fundamentals of obedience and receive basic training. The immersive facility allows our trainers to work closely with your adult dog or puppy. All you have to do is drop off your dog at day camp and we’ll make sure to take care of the rest. We are available to watch and train your dog for short periods of time or the entire day.
Stayyy offers flexible training hours and excellent customer service. Just let us know when is best for you to drop off and pick up your pup (within our business hours). We will be there to greet your pup. If your dog has special needs, let us know. Our expert trainers are able to accommodate dogs with all kinds of special needs.
Once your dog is done for the day, we’ll send them off with some extra goodies. From there, you can continue to train your pup when you get home.
Dogs are pack animals. No matter how you raise a dog, they will maintain their pack mentality. Your pup needs to understand their position in your pack. If not, they will fight with you for independence and leadership. This ends up causing a lot of behavioral issues. It’s important for you to become pack leader. Our leadership program is designed to ensure you become the alpha of your pack.

Board & Train
If your dog needs a little extra attention and training, our boarding and training program may be the perfect solution to meet their needs.
There is a common misconception that some dogs and even breeds are naturally mean and aggressive. This just isn’t the case. Moodiness, aggression, and other problematic behaviors are learned. As this is the case, they can also be unlearned. With that said, it may take longer to address these types of behaviors. We recommend our boarding and training services for dogs that need a little extra attention to address negative and problematic behaviors. We will not only help them to unlearn these behaviors, but we will also teach your pup how to properly express themselves in a positive way.
Regardless of your dog’s gender, breed, or age, our training experts will work with them and resolve these negative behaviors.
Obedience training is a must for dogs. While it’s fun to let them run around, sniff things, and generally be a dog, they need to listen when you ask them to do things. This is a very important part of dog ownership. Your dog ignoring your commands can not only be annoying, but it can also be dangerous. Dogs that don’t listen can run out into traffic, potty all over, destroy furniture, bark, and even bite! Your dog biting you is bad enough, but if they bite another dog or a person it can lead to lawsuits and even your dog being put down. You need to ensure your dog is obedient and listens to you for the safety of your dog, everyone around you, and for your own safety. Along with the safety benefits, your dog will also be much happier if they aren’t always butting heads with you.
The dog training program at Stayyy starts with a foundation of obedience training. We can work with your dog to address specific issues once they’ve undergone basic obedience training.
Once we’ve made sure your pup is properly trained, they can attend our group classes. During these classes, dogs are exposed to well-monitored and controlled environments where they are able to meet other dogs and socialize. We will gradually increase the level of distraction to watch and note your dog’s improvement.
If your dog is a puppy, it’s important to ensure they are socialized to guarantee they grow up to be a friendly and well-trained dog. We will work with your puppy to ensure they grow up having positive interactions with other puppies and adult dogs. With that said, we are also able to socialize older dogs.
We not only provide group training classes at our training facility, but also at various parks, beaches, and other dog-friendly venues. This allows your pup to interact with different environments and learn without being confined to an indoor area.
What to Know About Dog Boarding
If you are going away for a period of time, you may be wondering what you should do with your dog. The answer is to check them into Stayyy’s dog hotel! When you choose Stayyy’s dog boarding services, you can rest assured your pup will be well taken care of. We provide dogs with ample opportunity to exercise, play, run around, and socialize with other dogs. We understand how important it is for your pup to stretch their legs, sniff around, and go potty. That’s why we make sure your dog receives extended, daily walks. Every dog has their unique needs, so we tailor the walking experience of each dog in our care.
In order to board your pup, we’ll need current vaccination records and written proof of DHLPP and Bordetella before check-in. If your pup is over four months old, we’ll also need rabies vaccination records. This is for the protection of our staff and our other furry guests.
Some things you’ll want to consider when preparing for your pup’s vacation include:
· A feeding schedule
· Dog food and treats
· Kennel crate (if trained)
· Blankets and toys your dog loves
We look forward to hosting your pup in our Stayyy dog hotel!
What does it mean to be a Pack Leader?
You may be wondering what a “pack leader” is, and why it’s so important for you to become one…
We sometimes run into dog owners that have a difficult time understanding the concept that dogs are in need of a master-subject relationship. While you may want to see your dog as an equal, they will never see you that way. If you aren’t the leader, they will ensure you are the follower. This leads to lots of problems.
Like a parent, you need to provide guidance for your dog so they can thrive and succeed. This will help them with understanding and accepting boundaries.
We offer leadership training at Stayyy to create a sense of harmony in the households of our patients. Once you are pack leader, you’ll be able to build a happier and healthier relationship with your dog.
